Designing custom turbocharger systems for performance vehicles, diesel applications, race cars, street cars, commercial vehicles and marine engines requires careful consideration of airflow, boost response, engine characteristics and intended vehicle use. Every combination presents unique challenges, making accurate turbocharger selection critical for both performance and reliability.

Successful turbocharger matching relies on accurate data collection, real-world testing and extensive industry experience. Factors such as engine capacity, RPM range, fuel system capability, intended power output and vehicle application all influence turbocharger selection and overall system performance.

In diesel performance applications, turbocharger selection plays a major role in drivability, towing performance, exhaust gas temperatures and overall engine efficiency. Selecting the correct compressor and turbine combination is critical to achieving strong low RPM torque while maintaining reliable top-end airflow and safe exhaust temperatures under load.
